Bill Mazziotti - Born 1950 Brooklyn, New York
My work is all about form, color, texture and it’s direction. The initial idea came from water in motion which influenced the process and application of paint.
My work has been evolving slowly. With each piece a small element or application is introduced, at times without conscious intent. It’s in the technique or ritual of the way I go about painting that brings these small changes into the piece as the next inherent direction it should go.
I let the changes happen naturally without predetermining direction. So therefore each piece is about itself and ends within itself.
